Sterling silver can tarnish over time, when not worn please keep your jewellery in a jewellery box, and use a sterling silver polishing cloth if needed.
Although this item is waterproof to prolong its shine and lustre it is recommended to avoid contact with water, creams and perfumes as much as possible.
